Frequently Asked Questions - London Apartments UK
What is and why should I use LondonApartmentsUK ?
LondonApartmentsUK is a London apartments booking agency. We offer a number of carefully selected, well managed apartments in central London.
We provide you with access to the largest available range of holiday apartments in London, vacation rentals, serviced apartments, short term apartments for rent in London and our database of properties continues to grow day by day. As an independent agent our opinion and grading of apartments in London is unbiased: we have no commercial or financial interest in any of our properties and so our clients can be certain that they are only offered property options by us that specifically match their requirements.
We will always aim to offer you a price that is better than anyone else can for the same reservation enquiry and also better than you could find for yourself. We can do this primarily because of the volume of business we place with our partner properties.
We offer our service to all our clients completely free of charge and we pride ourselves on our levels of customer service. The reason we can offer our service free of any additional charge is that we operate on a commission basis with all our partner properties, so you don't pay for the privilege.
Why don't you give us a try and see for yourself - what have you got to lose?
What is a London apartment for short term rent ?
A London apartment (holiday apartment, vacation apartment, serviced apartment, self catering apartment) is a residential apartment, let or rented out on a nightly basis in generally the same way as a hotel room. Apartments in London are fully furnished, have a fully functioning and equipped kitchen, or as a minimum a kitchenette, have a working and use-only chargeable telephone line and most importantly are serviced. Service levels must, as a minimum, mean being fully cleaned with a change of all linen and towels at least once per week.
What do your apartment ratings mean ?
LondonApartmentsUK grades and evaluates all of its apartments in London on a scale of two to five stars. To qualify for a star, a serviced apartment must reach stringent standards and provide certain minimum facilities and amenities. For each subsequent star an apartment must meet all the previous star requirements.
A particular apartment with the most luxurious décor and linen, ultra-stylish furniture and a state-of-the-art kitchen might, for example not have lift access or air conditioning. Strictly speaking, this shouldn’t be awarded 5 stars though the apartment overall certainly is the highest possible standard.
However, it is also important to consider relative standards. In Singapore or other cities for example, many of the serviced apartment buildings have absolutely everything, including swimming pools, gyms, spas, restaurants and the apartments themselves are of the highest standard. At LondonApartmentsUK, we think it would be misleading to compare apartments in London with those in Singapore. So a serviced apartment with the highest possible standards within London, should probably be given 5 stars, even though it has a completely different set of amenities, from, say Singapore.
When can I check-in ? What time is check out ?
Our apartments in London are usually available for check-in from 2-3pm, check-out time is before 10-11am. If you are arriving early or would like a later checkout time please inform us (additional charges may apply)
What if I am arriving outside these hours ?
An out of hours check-in service is available. We will contact all guests shortly after receiving your reservation to discuss arrival times, if necessary full details of out of hours check-in will be provided before you commence your journey. If you are unexpectedly delayed en-route, please call us and we can make necessary arrangements.
How do I collect keys ?
This varies depending on location and whether the building has a porter service / reception. Check-in details will be clearly noted in your booking voucher. Once your reservation is confirmed, we will provide you with an address and directions to your apartment that will include key collection details. In the majority of cases, you will be met promptly on arrival at your apartment.
What sort of clients do you help ?
LondonApartmentsUK has many types of clients. The majority are tourists, leisure travellers, students, groups and families visiting London who may only need a few nights' accommodation and small companies and large corporations who have a requirement to provide apartments for both their relocating staff and people/professionals on business trips.

In the vast majority of cases children and babies are more than welcome. Please check with our reservations department for more details. In some cases an additional damage deposit may be required.
Do you have a minimum reservation period ?
No, we can provide you with a London apartment for one night (some properties will only be able to offer a one night stay on certain dates), one week, one month or even longer. Most of our apartments in London are available on a nightly basis and you only pay for the specific number of nights that you use, however some of our properties have minimum stays of 3-4 days or one week. LondonApartmentsUK will not offer you a holiday apartment option where the minimum stay at that property is longer than the number of nights you actually need.
What is included in the cost of the stay ?
